14-year-old shoots armed intruder

I saw this story posted on a different site.

PHOENIX (AP) - Police say a 14-year-old boy shot an intruder who broke into his Phoenix home and pulled a gun on him as he was watching his three younger siblings.

I don't know if the parents taught their kids what to do in this type of emergency, but this young man handled the situation admirably. I hope he and his family find a way to put this incident behind them without suffering any long term negative effects.
