So I got 500 blem 150gr Winchester sp power point bullets in .308 from RMR a while back for like $.17 ea and planned on using them for plinking rounds. They are a total mess as far as the length and position of the cannelure so I have to sort and constantly adjust the seating due to maintain consistent seating depth, just a pain in the ass and won’t be buying these again. Loaded them with 16.9 gr of lil gun and maintained around 97-98% load density to not compress it and make the es and sd go wacko like lil gun likes to do. Took them out and fired the first 20 through the chronograph and was shocked when I saw the numbers! 10.3” ba Hanson barrel, pistol gas, aero upper and lower with Lahar 30 suppressor, 1892 fps avg/es of 7/ sd of3! This is the best numbers I’ve ever seen with lil gun and with a total POS bullet and twice fired formed a USA brass and ginex srp so totally a “ IDGAF” type load. 3/4” groups at 80 yds. I wonder if these will will expand sufficiently enough to put a coyote or maybe even a black tail down at shorter range. BTW, no major pressure signs with these except slightly flat primers but ginex primers seem to flatten even with lighter loads, must have thinner cups the the usual cci 450 or cci 41. Anyone have any experience with these projectiles in 300 blk?
