FYI, the seller, Tanner's is local to me. I've not bought anything from them but they have a very good reputation. They apparently bought the stock of a gun seller or wholesaler who went out of business, and are blowing out the newly acquired inventory at very low prices. That Walker is one of those guns.

(I have no connection with Tanner's.)

LOL, I'm tempted, to avoid gun transport I keep two sets of revolvers and others, I call the my Northern and Southern guns. My Walker is a Northern piece.

View attachment 796125 Yeah Venom, the original 1100 Walkers had heat-treating on the iron cylinders that left them in the white...a half hour vinegar / water treatment puts a Uberti right. Here's mine:

THAT is a pretty gun !! I have heard they were white since Colt did not blue them as the hot blue would affect the heat treat but am not sure don't quote me on that.

About 1/3 vinegar to 2/3 water. Pulled the nipples, put it in a gallon ziploc, and swished around every few minutes. After about 20 minutes, I had a nice looking in-the-white Walker cylinder. I kept my Howell conversion blue, just for contrast...

Cliff, how did you get that price?

Joe, Someone posted on another forum about three weeks ago posted they had a shipment of 80 coming in and had that deal going (249 plus 20 dollar shipping) so I sent them an email asking and they said yes send them a check for 269 they were holding me one. So I sent them a check for 269 with my mailing address and it was delivered about a week later. Simple transaction, I never had done business with them before but I will certainly be looking at their offerings in the future.

Edit, I just looked the enquiry was made on June 15 and I received the pistol on July 5 so not sure if that deal is still good or not.

I was pondering getting one so i'd have a pair, but i pondered an hour or two too long.... he went from his last 4 to sold out overnight.
