1873 cattleman cap and ball

Hello. This is concerning the 1873 cattleman cap and ball. I cannot seem to find a conversion cylinder for it. Will a cylinder replacement like this from brownells fit http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=14154&title=CYLINDER one? Thanks.

You can try Midway, there are two models...one is a .120 bushing the other .080". measure the bushing on the front of the cylnder. I haven't gotten one yet, but the list them.

That's pretty strange. Uberti does not offer conversiom cylinders that I know of.

I was looking into the R&D version of this about a year ago, from Midway. It never came to be, and Midway has removed it from their catalog. R&D was supposed to come out with cylinders for the '63 Remington Pocket, and the '62 Colt Pocket Navy & Police, but they never happened either.

I would call Taylor's and ask if there is a cylinder. They are R&D's main distributor, and they would know if there is an Uberti version.

You can have one made by www.bigironbarrels.com. Prices are very reasonable, but it might take 90 days or so.
