I've got the itch to pick up a long barrel 22lr to shoot in the backyard and not disturb the neighbors. Goal is to shoot 22 shorts out to the longest distance as possible onto a steel plate. Was hitting a 8" plate at 50yds today and even at 75yds with a 20" barreled lever. I'm looking to run open sights.

Purpose is to be able to shoot any time during the day with no disturbance to neighbors. I have a large property. Many acres. But keeping it low key is nice too.

Criteria required:

Pistol Grips Rear Stock
Be able to eject brass into hand (1885)
Long barrel (preferably Octagon if not too heavy)
Capable of shooting shorts, longs, long rifles
Good adjustable sights.

I have never shot or handled a 1885 low wall. I do like the Miroku Brownings a lot. This is just a backyard fun gun so I don't want to break the bank. The Browning 1885 is even way out of my comfort price zone.

Should I consider a Taylors/Uberti or don't waste my time.

The pistol grip rifles are not as popular as the straight stocked, but it looks like the Browning Hunter 1885 is a good fit.
