does anyone have any experience with Cimarron firearms version of the 1886 in 45-70?

I have the chance to get one and was wondering how it would comparek with a Henry 45-70

I think it boils down to what you are wanting out of the gun. Are you wanting a traditional 45-70 lever gun? Get the Cimarron. Do you only purchase American made firearms? Get the Henry. Myself I would prefer the Cimarron, I prefer the Browning action and only loading gate feeding.

was looking at the Henry all weather, witht the loading gate, and 18.5 inch barrel. But I do like the Browning action, and the Cimarron has a 22 inch barrel, and is heavier

But am not a made in America guy, bought two SDS made in Turkey 1911s, one is 45 acp, the other is 9 mm, and have a Rossi 92 stainless 38/357, with 16 inch barrel , and a Uberti EL PATRON 45 colt, and a Rossi Judge
