351 WINCHESTER

I watched "Man Hunt" made in 1941 where in a British operative tried to kill Hitler just prior to the start of WWII. He failed and returned to G.B. Later on he joined the RAF and was on a mission over Germany when he parachuted from his plane without authorization from his superiors, with his trusty .351 Winchester held tightly in his arms, returning to try and do what he was unable to do earlier. The rifle was scoped and had a 5 round magazine.
It is well documented that we sold the Brits. .351's during WWI. We also supplied them to the French and Russians during the same time period. Some have claimed that some of the rifles were modified by Winchester for full auto fire, which I believe because Winchester had problems early on, keeping them from going full auto. That may account for their 20 lb. triggers.
