Hi, I'm new to 1911 pistols and have just gotten a norinco 1911 that is totally stock. It is a nice pistol, but I want to mount a flashlight under the barrel. When I was looking for pistols I looked at a s&w, and a springfield that have integral rails, but couldn't afford those. What are the options for mounting on a stock 1911? Could I get it drilled and tapped for a rail on the front of the frame under the barrel? If so does weaver make a short piece of weaver or picatinny rail to fit? Sorry if I am a bit ignorant, I have had rifled drilled and tapped and you can get a special piece of weaver rail for every rifle under the sun, but I don't know if they do for pistols.
Thanks
