for your price range i would look at colt, s&w, & a kimber custom ll. i have a kimber ss pro carry & its great. i had a s&w pd 5" which ran great. i only got rid of it becuse i bought the kimber to carry, but if it was the 4.25 commander size i would still have it. i haven't owned a colt yet, but hope to some day.
