Hello, I am wanting to purchase a OWB holster for my full size 1911. I want to conceal it with an untucked t-shirt or a dress shirt. I would appreciate any info on manufacturers and personal experience with a holster. I don't mind paying for quality. I can't seem to find any info. Every manufacturer I contact says they are the best. Thanks for your time and info...

Hope I am in the right forum. I didn't see on listed for holsters. :D

I use a Bianchi 82 with my Pro sized Kimber daily. Conceals well and has a retention system theat is unobtrusive and works well.

It is available in a paddle, belt slide, and snap-on versions.

Welcome to the wonderful world of holster collecting. I went through about 5 or 6 before I found one I liked.

Milt Sparks is probably worth a look. They make some fine stuff.

If you can, you might go to a gunshop and see if you can try on a few things. Most shops will let you put on a holster before you buy it. You'll probably be limited to Galco and Fobus, but you can at least get a feel for what style you like.

I use an El Paso Saddlery #77 "Tortilla" holster for my only 1911 type pistol. It conceals quite well and is comfortable. They make a version without the thumbbreak if you prefer it without.

Try looking on the 1911forum.com. They have a section dedicated to holsters. You'll get alot of info there.

My favorite belt holster for concealed carry would be the Milt Sparks 60TK. It's a high ride holster with an FBI cant, so it sits very close and high to the body.

You wont regret it. :)

Quick update, I orderd a Mernickle PS6 and belt yesterday. I have had few experiences where the customer service was so good. Bob talked to me for about 15 minutes explaining how his holster would meet my needs and how the features make it one of the most concealable OWB holsters made. I was quoted a 4 week wait and was told this is very accurate. I can't wait till they get here.

This is the holster I ordered only without the checker print.
