I've put my new Springfield Loaded through it's "reliability tests" and she's ready for carry duty. I'd like to have some 8 round mags (that I will also test first). General consensus seems to be that the Wilson 47D is the way to go. So:

1. How large is the baseplate? So large that it will noticeably hinder concealment? The 7 rounders that came from Springfield fit flush with the grip.

2. This is the page on MidwayUSA that shows all Wilson mags for the full-size 1911. They aren't listed by model number, so which of these is the 47D?

Thanks.

For concealment purposes I keep a flat bottomed magazine in the gun and my spare is a padded magazine for ease and positivity of reload.

Thanks for the help, guys. So the flat-bottom (DC) mags only differ in the baseplate? They function just as reliabably as the D?

Yep, just as good as the D. that is a good price on the DC as well, Wilson wants $35 for them on their site.
