Post #22: You can't compare the "Before" and "After" pictures you've posted, because the in the "After" picture, the grip safety isn't depressed (as it is in the "Before")

Post #23: That is the area I'm talking about. That isn't bad, not perfect, but pretty good considering the price point of the Spartan. It is a lot of work, because you have to gring the two in a continuous arc...and it is purely cosmetic

Post #24: The first "fix" will always be to remove the sharp edges, because blood is slick and death on the finish. The "Before" picture in Post #22 really looks bad and I'm sure that was a major factor in their blending it.

I'll see about taking some pictures of mine to better illustrate, but you are getting the right idea. When I took a week long 1911 course, over half the class was bleeding by the second day. The excuses the owners made for their guns was high comedy...rationalization is a very powerful drug

LOVE my Spartan! It is the best I have ever owned... not my first...mine was perfect out of the box.

Pictures, they aren't great, but I was in a hurry and didn't want to get out the tripod or the reflectors

First, the top line of the grip safety and how it should flow with the line of the rear tang (frame) when the safety is at rest

Then, the bottom alignment of the grip safety when it is depressed...notice how it pulls the top slightly out (lower) of alignment as it is rotated downward away from the hammer
