Post #22: You can't compare the "Before" and "After" pictures you've posted, because the in the "After" picture, the grip safety isn't depressed (as it is in the "Before")
Post #23: That is the area I'm talking about. That isn't bad, not perfect, but pretty good considering the price point of the Spartan. It is a lot of work, because you have to gring the two in a continuous arc...and it is purely cosmetic
Post #24: The first "fix" will always be to remove the sharp edges, because blood is slick and death on the finish. The "Before" picture in Post #22 really looks bad and I'm sure that was a major factor in their blending it.
I'll see about taking some pictures of mine to better illustrate, but you are getting the right idea. When I took a week long 1911 course, over half the class was bleeding by the second day. The excuses the owners made for their guns was high comedy...rationalization is a very powerful drug
