I have seen a few of these threads and would like to do it for an old classic. Love looking at 1911’s because they are some of my favorite handguns. Can be any make/model and in any caliber.

I’ll start it off. Mines a Browning 1911 Black Label “Medallion” in 380 ACP. upload_2021-3-16_21-12-55.jpeg

Mine are simple models and none of them cost much. They're all good shooters, though, and I take them to the range more often than any of my other service pistols. I hope to go shooting Friday or Saturday morning, and the 45acp will be accompanying me. I have some nice polymer pistols, but they aren't 1911's.

This Star BM operates like a 1911 (swinging link), but lacks the grip safety:

I like whatever photo technique that is.

Todd.

Another Browning 1911-380. I this picture I was using the 22 slide assembly. I put the 380 back on it when I was getting ready to leave.

Both of the slides above are the "compact" length. I have a regular length slide assembly that I keep planning to mill for a red dot, why? Just to do it.

And here are all of the 1911 style pistols that I currently own.

I keep thinking of doing something "Masonic" to my pistol. The idea that goes through my mind a lot is taking it to an engraver and having the compass and square engraved on the slide.

Consider finding someone who has a laser engraver.
They can etch about anything with photographic accuracy. Economically and quickly.

Best wishes brother.
