1911 SA Slide starting to stick?

I was out shooting today found the slide starting to stick a little?
I have a little over 1000 rounds threw the mil spec 1911 and never had any problem's installed a new pin stop last week from EGR and tested last week with a 100 rounds no problem.
I just added a new set of slim grips and thought I would like to see how the thinner grips feel must of went threw 50 rounds no problem then it seem to start:I load my clip 5 rounds only and after the last shot I remove the mag: and walk the slide down just the last 1/16" I felt the slide stick not all the time but I new it did not feel right.
I shot another 50 rounds no problems but when I got home I did decide to field strip and clean and did notice the slide need a little more then just slide of the frame.
I strip the slide and frame and reassembled the slide to the frame I did notice as soon as the slide did meet the EJECTOR on the frame seem it started to stick did notice the ejector had a bare spot were the blue wore off otherwise it look O.K. not bent I had some J@B bore paste and added some to the ejector and after working the slide by hand my problems were gone.
I cleaned a reassembled rack the slide to the forward position and no problems anyone have any idea why it started to stick?
I forgot to mention I clean my gun after every time out at the range

Normal break-in wear allowed the slide to move over slightly?

It sounds as if the ejector was always set up too close to the inside of the slide.

There should be a crack of light visible on both sides and top of the ejector if it is fit properly.

It should not be a lapped fit as you described using the JB compound.
If it is, it's way too tight.

I'd take it out of the frame and file enough clearance so there is daylight showing through the cracks at the side and top. Also make sure the hammer isn't dragging on it on the inside edge.

I check it to day up against the light and yes now I have daylight threw it.I also thought maybe the over sized pin stop may be hitting the ejector so I also check that. I took some 1500 wet and dry paper with light oil and polished it up seem to work O.K. will see later during the week with a range test.
I did notice from day one the front top of the ejector did show signs of blue wear (top corner) were in enters the slide
I think the problem is solved will see.

hi lonewolf,,,is your ejector pined in the frame??? if not it could be working it's way out and rubbing on the bottom of the slide,,a friend of mine had this happen to his TRP

Springfield glues them in ,,,unless they have changed,,,,,send it back to them and they will fix it,,, while they have it have them put a pin in and the problem shouldn't come back

I look at the side of the slide and see no pin:The ejector seem in all the way flush:I think it just lifts out or they may have added some locktight to the pins otherwise no pin that hole it on
I took a black magic marker at the ejector to day and seem a tad of a shinny spot on top of the ejector :I ran the slide by hand seem o.k. now going to the range tomorrow and see what I come up with.
