has anyone shot with the "straight" triggers/ the one that has NO curve in the trigger face, just squared off making it straight in the trigger face?
Is it a plus or minus?
thanks
This allows for consistency of trigger pull & feel, no matter how and where you placed your finger during times of stress. Can help to prevent jerking the trigger and spoiling your shot.
The flat trigger was made to perform reliably each and every time with the least amount of inconsistency. Hilton Yam is a very well-known and respected pistolsmith, trainer and active SWAT member. I love them!
When shooting 1911s, my trigger finger is high and right up against the frame. I hate how my finger is at a weird angle when using curved triggers.
I installed one a while back. It's not a drop-in, and will require fitting. Also, the overtravel adjustment is not a screw-type adjustment. You'll have to use a file. FWIW, I think it is an excellent trigger.
