I have what I have always though was a Sistema Colt 1927. I was just browsing some research material and now I don't know. The material says that all Sistemas have D.G.F.M. - (F.M.A.P.) on the left side of the slide. My pistol has only # 59826, matched on slide,barrel and frame. Right side of fslide says, Gendarmeria National. The only other markings are crude, tiny engraveing next to lanyard eyelet," 45 19?6 "

Armory? Owner? Could this be one of the original Colts made for the Argentines before they tooled up?
