I got a new Kimber last Friday, brand new Aegis II 9mm, 5", some kind of tuff kote, black top, sliver frame, not crazy about the bobbed hammer, not crazy about the smooth mag release, the solid trigger is growing on me, the safety being bobbed is growing on me as well, the milled wood grips are a bit slim, but very 'gripping', night sights are BRIGHT. 292 rounds, not a single hic'up, she performed like a 1911 is expected to, never had a new 1911 so great. 9mm 115gr WWB has the recoil of 22lr from a 31oz pistol, we'll see how she eats 9mm NATO 124gr in the next few days. I bought a second Kimber 9mm mag, didn't really want to buy a Kimber mag, but it's all they had and I "needed" 2.

FLGR is going in a box soon... I'm a GI and Plug kind of guy. Other wise I think she's almost perfect. My first 'Custom Shop Gun' well worth the price.

Price Compareables; Kimber Custom Aegis II 9mm $1049 - Springfield Loaded 9mm $1037 - Kimber Classic 9mm with target sights $1038, for what she came with I figure she's the best deal out there.

1911 fans beware ... these things breed in the safe ... a curse of JMB

Without a doubt, the 1911 platform can be addicting.

This week, another found it's way into my safe, joining a Smith & Wesson SW1911 and a Kimber Team Match II.

Introducing the latest, and very likely not the last, a Les Baer Premier II.
