I recently acquired a 1938 Turkish mauser in 8×57 with a broken trigger guard and floorplate. I'm needing to replace the entire unit now. Although I'm having no luck finding a replacement. Does anyone know of any other models that would work for a replacement?

Turkey Mauser floor plate is shorter than typical K98 mausers, replace the trigger guard and floor plate together you will be fine. I have a Turk trigger guard but don't have a correct floor plate, I will buy it from you if you going to let it go. Or, I can just sell you the trigger guard!:) I was going to make a custom hinge floor plate trigger guard while I don't have a floor plate for it anyway but never get to it!

The biggest difference between the Turk guard and other military mauser guards is that the Turks did not have lock screws. This one from Numrich would fit your gun just fine, but you would need the lock screws and guard screws with locking notches to use it. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/6550A
I actually just placed an order for one today. Seems to be one of the only options left in stock right now

The trigger guard and floorplate on mine are basically welded together with no play at all. I've done everything I can think of to get the floorplate off but it will not budge. Whoever had this rifle before me did a real number on it
