I am about to pick up a .357 4 5/8th barrel.
It has the black synthetic grips on it now and has a bit of holster wear and cylinder turn showing but otherwise tight and good to go.
Since I don't care much for the black original grips, I want to change them out for some imitation aged ivory or stag. I think this style would marry up nicely with the honest wear from use and I would save the originals for down the road.
Altamont seems to be the best deal but I don't know what a 1958 Blackhawk grip size is.
From what I understand it is XR3 and not XR or XR3-RED. I have even read that the grip size is the same as the original Colt SAA. Can anyone get me straight on this?
Thank you.
