1st Gun Of The New Year CZ452FS

If anybody read my previous post regarding a Savage Mako .22 that I picked up you will know that I got a lemon. As dissapointed as I was with the firearm my local shop took the gun back without hesitation and immediately ordered me a CZ 45FS from the factory. The previous Savage thread can be found here.

The new 452 Full Stock came in today and so far I am very happy. I plan to get it out to at least function test it tomorrow night. Not sure when I will be able to test for accuracy at range.

I mounted a Leupold 2x7 rimfire scope on a set of Weaver see through rings I had laying around. Seems to work just fine with both irons and the scope.

The fit and finish of the gun are excellent and the trigger, although heavyish breaks very nice. No mush.

My local dealer hunted one down for me. He was having a problem finding one from his normal distributors so he may have ordered directly from CZ.

Trigger mods

I have a 452 Lux and it is the most accurate .22 I own. I can cover a 5 shot group with a nickel at 50 Yards and that's with an old Bushnell Sportview 4X.
The only gripes I have with the gun are the trigger problems you mentioned and the safety runs backwards. You can find trigger kits at cz452.com , I hear they are very good. I would love to find a safety mod so that it will switch just like my Model 70.

The Brookes trigger kits are awesome. I have one in my 452 Varmint. I may do the same to this one. Not sure yet as this is really meant to be more of grab it and plink kind of gun where my Varmint is set up as a very very accurate bench .22.

452s do not have set triggers. Only the newer 453s which currently only come in the American and Varmint models.

I got one just like it for my first gun of '07....and I love it....mine came out of the box with a 3lb trigger....very nice....I'll tyr and get a pic or two this weekend....
