I have pretty much narrowed my choices down to a Centerpoint 3-12x44
http://www.crosman.com/optics/riflescopes/power/CP312RGC
or
Mueller Multi-shot

Gun will be a plinker, and when Hornady brings out the 5.45 V-max ammo, it will be a HD and hunting carbine. My previous post was about a 45 degree red dot, and I am still considering it if I can't use the scopes with both eyes open. ROund should be good out to 300 yards, and I don't plan on shooting it farther.

Both are illuminated, both are smallish, but the powers are different, and the reticles are different. does anyone have thoughts on the features of the scopes?

I have this one on mine. (Super scope) I would like one of these for easier two eyed shooting. Even at 1.65 it strains the eyes after a bit. This one is another option. For higher power check these out. If you want power, two eyed shooting is tough.

Of the two you linked to, I would go with the first, simply because the reticle on the second looks useless for precision work, and the first is lower powered for easier two eyed shooting and I like the reticle better. The reticle on the higher powered scope looks like something more usefull for fast two eyed shooting, but it's on the higher power scope. Swap reticles and they make more sense to me.

I want to use it for coyotes (2-7), but I have a feeling it may get used for paper punching and varmints(3-12). Hence the offset red dot thread here. I have some time, so I guess I will do some more thinking about it.
