Anyone tried these, or plan on it? They dont have the brand listed (not unusual) so googling them has been pretty unsuccessful (I have found a lot of links for M11 mags though).

I was just thinking that if they're decent I'd grab some so that if I ever stopped dragging my feet and actually get a 9mm AR put together I'd have some mags for it. The modified UZI mags of mine went missing...

So who made them ?
Have you used them ?
If so, in what ?
If so, did they hold the bolt open after the last round ?

The ones I got are manufactured by Promag. I bought them as soon as I saw they were available.

I am in the process of putting together a Colt style 9mm CAR, but the mags were the first parts to arrive.

The Garrison magblock and bolt catch are in the mail, the Stagarms lower and RRA upper are on order.

As soon as I get this baby together I'll post how the mags work. :D

Had best results with Colt factory 32 and 20 round mags. Not cheap.

Other mags I've had success with are the 40 round Argentinian surplus mags, and the 25 round Israeli conversions CDNN is selling.
For an "inexpensive" 9mm AR mag I would recommend the Israei conversions @ 29.99 a pop. They're $10 more per mag than what you looking at, but they do funtion well, and CDNN stands behind them.

Keep your eyes open for the Colt mags too. I've been able to pick up a few like new 32 rounders at gun shows and on the net for about $50 each.

Look forward to your report on the ProMags.
Take Care

Ditto Swamp Yankee.
I have a Colt factory 9mm AR. I have a very few Colt magazines, which work flawlessly. I also bought about a dozen of the Argentine magazines which function OK with the exception that they don't hold the bolt open after the last round.
I almost never shoot the carbine, so it would probably be a waste of money to buy more magazines for it, but I have thought a couple times about buying some more Colt mags if the price came down after the ban sunset.
