2005 - What guns do you want to buy?

1. LRB M14SA - Either one put together by a competent M14-smith ($$$), or one of LRB's own complete builds ($$$). LRB is said to manufacture the best USGI-spec (w/o full auto) receivers since the rifles were in production for the US DoD in the early and mid-60s. Some say they are of even better quality than those produced by most of the original USGI M14 manufacturers!

2. Pre-'94 Bushy Lower - I live in an unfree state. :fire: I already have a Bushy carbine (sans evil features), I would like to be able to build up an 20" A4-gery with sinister bayonet lug and flash suppressor.

Almost Certainly:
Beretta Storm in .40

Maybe:
nice 12ga semi, specifically a Winchester Super X2 3".
another upper for the AR, (or even a complete rifle, I just know I'd get sick of having to always swap the uppers around)
SAR-1
either CZ 85 Compact in .40 or the P-04 when it comes out.

Would like:
a nice bolt action 'deer/hunting' rifle, like a Rem 700 in 300 Win Mag or 7mm Mag

Lightweight AR???
S&W 58
Nef in 357 and cut the barrel to 16 and put a youth stock on it.

If some gunsmithing works for me I might get rid of a few I do not shoot.
S&W 1956 pre 10 4 screw
S&W 1950 K38 6"
Maybe my chopped and channeled, moonclipped 586 1/2 lug
Maybe my 940 if my lite 9mm reloads work in my franken942.

Gunsmithing to do
940 cylinder for my 642 and put the original 940 cylinder back in my 940.
ream 1 charge hole in my 35-1 to 22 mag.
get my Heavyduty converted to 45 colt then I do not need the 58

There are several I've had on my list for a while. They are really not "special", but I'd like to see them in the house.
I'd like a mod. 29 ,.44 mag, a mod 19, and a mod 25 .45 colt. I'd also like a M1A 'cause I need a 308 .I'll be looking this year...maybe I'll run up on "the deal" and come home with a real prize! :D
Mark.

Happy New Year y'all:

1. Ruger New Vaquero blue 4 5/8 45LC :D
2. Lewis Machine and Tool (LMT) M4
3. H&K USP Compact 45 stainless :D
4. Civilian version of the Army's new semi-auto 7.62 sniper rifle
5. Etc., etc., etc..

Wow, I have several on my list and I can get more fevers at any time.

.41 mag model 57 6"
.44 mag model 29 6.5 inch
.357 mag model 19 4"
.38 special model 10 4"
H&R .32 long
Hi standard centenal .22 mag 4"
beretta 92 9mm
454 casull revolver, not sure what brand yet
500 s&w revolver
pre-model 29 6.5 inch

Oh yeah, that 50 bmg revolver over in the general handguns section, maybe the .600 nitro too.

Not in any particular order:

Browning Buckmark Standard
Savage or Chuck Daly bolt gun in 7mm-08
Winchester 1300 or FN Police SG
Marlin 1895 .45-70 tweeked w/ WWG parts
Glock 27
Long term goal is a .338-06 AI or .35 Whelen AI built on a Chuck Daly Mauser action.

This list dosen't include purchases made once my C&R arrives. :D

Thanks to THR member NJ3, my first gun of 2005 is waiting at the dealer for me now - it actually arrived yesterday, but as usual, the "instant" background check isn't, and I have to wait until I'm approved... :fire:

You never know what deals you'll run into and can't walk away from but on my list right now is to just round out my USP collection w/ a USPc 45

I'm going to try and restrain myself from getting any new guns this year. What i'm gonna do is swap (not an even swap. I'll pay $$$)) my Kahr K9 for a Para 14-40 W/ 14 rounders and my Charter Arms, Off Duty for a Smith M-36, blued.

I have bought at least 1 gun a month since Oct, 03. I'm addicted. Where's the 10 step program at?

Oh, my Para C6-45 will be at my dealer on Thur or Fri. I'm mailing the check on Mon. Got it off of Gunbrokers. It's the coolest little thang...............

Short list is 870, Delta Elite, 4" Python, ALS 50 BMG upper, and maybe a Glock 29.

Either a Colt Defender or Kimber Ultra Carry, then either a SA sub-compact XD or a CZ P01 or a Glock 26. Too many choices and not enough time! :(

5" Kimber Series I (a friend is selling his), 9mm AR, AK variant, P14-45, possibly another glock. I'd like a BAR-10 as well, but dont know if I can afford it - a lot of my money will likely be put into my 80 Fairmont since my 83 is slowly falling apart.

I'm also planning on .22 conversions for my GM, OM, and AR15.

It's always a long list: I'd like to buy a Sig this year. A couple of good lever action rifles, and maybe a few more revolvers. First I've got to get my type M to Ernest Langdon, customize my CX Storm, and refinish and get a trigger job for my Colt Detective Special -- last gun purchase of 2004 -- literally. :D
