2009 and the new 2022-what's the difference?

I noticed Sauer just let out a newer-looking version of the 2009 called the 2022. The only difference I can see on them is that that the 2009 which is older has a Swiss frame and a NH slide and the 2022 is all German (yay). But what purpose did creating this gun serve? It looks almost exactly identical to the previous 2009 which is still manufactured.

AFAIK, the rail.

They coulda just called it the SP 2009R

I think the 2022's rail is no longer a Sig only spec rail.
