just purchased a taurus 1911 and 500 missouri bullet 200gr LRNFP. I am wanting to try some red dot, 231, and unique but cannot find any load data for this bullet.
can someone point me to some data?

my pt1911 will feed anything. my handloads choked up 2 other guys 1911's and ran perfectly in mine. 200 grn lead really big flat point round nose.

I'm using the .76 hole on my lee auto disk with a mystery powder my uncle got from a dying old guy. he calls it hodgdon trap 14 but I can't find a reference to it anywhere. It's dirty and a little scary but it's free and it works. And he worked up the load on his own gun so I didn't have to risk mine :) He claims it behaves somewhere between red dot and blue dot. I get about 800 fps. I would stick to something in a load manual. maybe red dot? it's versatile and you don't use very much in a 45 so it will last longer.

I have some red dot & unique but can't find any 231 yet. looking thru all my manuals, it seems you get pretty good velocity out of red dot.

Use data for a 200 gr. SWC. You may have to experiment with OAL to get good feeding. I have been running RNLPs for a couple of years in a couple of Springfields with very good results. I am loading them at 1.225."
