    Thanks AF.
Full disclosure, my jacket and the canvas haversack were off camera. Plus, if I had face paint on folks would just think I was trying to dye my grey beard...;)

Shot three deer Sunday and never thought to take a photo.
One pheasant today and I remembered. As you folks may have already noticed, I like my puppy.

We had a great duck day on the first day. We had hundreds of ducks fly off the refuge but were too high. They were headed towards the flooded Mississippi river bottoms. We only were able to coax a few into range. We ended our day with only 4 ducks.
Day two was rainy with a warm east wind which did not favor our blind location.
We enviously watched as the blind 150 yards south of us dropped 9 ducks. We never fired our guns all day.

Hunted this whole last week in DeLeon Springs Fl. Saw lots of deer, but no trophy bucks. Meat-shot this doe. Gun is a Traditions inline 50 cal from Wally world, 100 grains of 777 and a traditions bullet. First BP deer.

A black powder limit of roosters in about a half hour this morning. My puppy looks pretty proud of himself.

Last chance for me, season is now over.

Picked off two does at about 175 yards through the fog and mist. White spot at the end of the food plot is one. Larger of the two was about 110 lbs, which is quite big around here. Weird season. It has been warm and wet all year.

Not much picture taking when you're standing knee deep in icy floodwater, fumbling with your phone. Its too easily dropped .
#1 son and I got a couple of ducks from the floodwater of mother North Fork about 3/4 mile from his house.

To someone that has never hunted waterfowl that would sound awful, maybe even insane.

Even though the 2018 Minnesota hunting season for Whitetail has ended, this was photographed the other day, S.E of Ely down Highway 1 by the (or in) the Stony River, I believe. The Grey Timberwolves hunt all year long.......

Thought some may find this interesting.
