Every time I try to search for the old 22 CB Cap ammo it just brings up 22 CB Shorts. Do they no longer make the Cap ammo? If they do still make it, do you know where it can be bought? TIA....
.50 + per shot?? Am I seeing that right?$76 for 150, I'd just stick with CB shorts unless these are quieter. Geeeeeez
Yeah , super colibris work great in my savage 72 (same as the favorite), really the only gun I have that shoots them well past 15 feet. Must be something with the bore diameter or the twist rate. Not exactly CB caps but take a look at Aguila Super Colobri ammo.. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2506295321/ Basically silent in a rifle (I only hear the hammer fall), a little noisy in a hand gun. It works very well in my Stevens favorite.

You can see from this picture why I’m looking for them. The one on the left of the empty spot is a 22 BB Cap and the one right is a 22 short. I have some 22 CB shorts but they aren’t the same as the Caps.
I wants to know what are wanting to shoot them in...??? My mind wants to know??
So all you want is one for a display???Did you look at the picture?
Safest squib ever. Still would not want to fool with that mess.A warning about CB's.
A friend bought some to shoot through his bolt action .22
He was sure he had not messed with the sights but couldn't even get on paper at 25yds. Once he removed the bolt he discovered that his .22 had a pretty tight bore and at least the first CB cap didn't have enough oomph to make it out the muzzle. Had five little bullets packed in one behind the other.
And that is why higher end air rifles were invented. Good to 50 yards and beyond. In my Favorite they are about Coke can accurate out to 30 yards or so. I use them for shooting Brown Headed Cow Birds, a local pest in the spring. The birds will come in as a flock to peck on the ground and they don't know what's happening due to no report. The cats love it.
I also like to use SCs to teach young, new shooters since you don't need ear pro.
I have a Springer that is loud. It's a .22 can't remember make have to dig out if safe. But it's louder then subsonic in a older marlin 60.Some of the fast PCP air rifles are louder than you might think, louder than the Super Colibri.
You are 100% right. Some of the fast PCP air rifles are louder than you might think, louder than the Super Colibri.
