I try to limit myself to any day ending in “Y”

Despite the nonsense I have so far posted, I normally am a modest man and am satisfied with a slug or two of Dickel's at the end of the day. In all honesty I drink it because I heard Skeeter liked it.

For some reason, though, the 12 year old Whistlepig was screaming at me today. I already am starting to regret tomorrow morning - and what with end of the world and all, I no longer can afford to replace the Whistlepig!

carpe diem...no one is judging....after all, what is an internet persona worth?

Some of what I have been blessed with....not all. Of all in my possession, the K22 is one of the most important. Dad bought and used it in his youth. Dinner was one of the net results. Probably the first firearm any one of my brothers or I first shot. The balance are toys to satisfy my joy. A 41 (a beater when I bought it) has always been a grail gun...along with several barrels. The 1911 conversion carried me through some of the ammo shortages. A CMP US 44 can still out shoot me....

22’s are wonderful....

Wonderful!

I do not think that I have seen an M41 in other than blue. Is yours nickel, hard chrome, ...?

The 41 was bruised. I sent it to Clark for their best. Add a couple of barrels (it looks MUCH better with the original iron sights and barrel), hard chrome the lower...bingo. The hard chrome covered a lot of sins of the previous owner. Shoots and works like a champ (well beyond my ability).

I first used hard chrome on the 1911 build with the Kimber conversion. The 1911 was done by George at EGW. Basically built from the bones of an 80 series 1911. Probably 20,000 45 rounds...would foul around 1200 rounds before cleaning....hard chrome CLEANS wonderfully...hard chrome is not for everybody, but I believe. I should have hit Robar for some of their coatings before they stopped....

still looking....

Any one of us who could shoot up to the M41's capability would be a true champion.

....My favorite rifle would be the original Winchester model 1906 pump my oldest brother bought at age 14 and allowed me learn to shoot that eventually found its way into my collection but I passed on to his son who is a retired Delta operator. His Dad passed away when he was 16 ....
....My favorite .22 handgun is my stainless Browning Buckmark Camper that my #1 son talked me out of.:scrutiny:
Guns have suffered far worse fates than being passed along to the next generation. Well done, both of you.

I'm surprised that no one has posted a Smith 41 yet. I'm waiting!

I'm surprised too! I have one but I don't know how to post pictures.

It would be hard to pick a favorite but a few contenders would be;
S&W Model 41
Grandpa's Colt Woodsman Match Target
Dad's Colt Woodsman Match Target
Browning Medalist (with all of the barrel weights and do hickies)
HiStandard Trophy
Ruger MK11 Stainless
Remington Nylon 66
Browning Takedown

Probably a few others.

Very nice! Where did you get those speedloaders?

I've been designing and making various loaders for 15 years, 5 years before any of the other 10 shot loaders. I like to come up with new designs just for fun, this is my retirement hobby. The first ones were hand machined and the rest I injection mold.
