For me it has been. It needs bigger game like coyotes, foxes, and beavers to really open up well and do its job. If you shoot a rabbit or squirrel with one it will be hard to tell the difference between it and a regular HP.

Yet between t hese two stinger bullets the velocity is the same 1,645 fps.
I shot the segmented HP into a telephone book and couldn't find the 3 pieces.
Same thing with the Aguila brand and between the the CCI regular Stinger HP which penetrated the most.

Strange that 6 months or so ago you couldn't find any ammo on the shelves now this stuff is all over the place.
