Does anyone have information/pictures of a .22lr semi-auto from the 1940's manufactured by either remington or winchester. we had a discussion during lunch and I was not familiar with firearms from that time.

Any help appreciated. Thank you

Neither company ever produced a semiautomatic handgun in .22 rimfire. (this is the Handgun forum) Remington did make the Model 51 in .380 for a brief period in the post WWI era.

If you are asking about rifles you should have a Mod move this thread.
Both produced semi automatic RIFLES that were around in the '40's:

Can't find my link to Winchester rimfire models.

gb6491: If it is indeed pistols, some .22lr semi-autos from the 40's that do come to mind are the Colt Woodsman and various High Standards, in particular the models B and HD.

Greg

Can't be pistols Greg. Neither Rem or Win ever manufactured a .22 semi auto pistol.
