Did you specify a barrel length? My dealer has a nice, Taurus 96 in his case. The Taurus 96 is essentially a copy of Smith and Wesson's Model 17.
A K-frame sized gun, with a six inch barrel, adjustable sights, target style wood grips. I've owned one in the past, and found it to be a fine shooter. The one at my dealers is tagged under $300.00. I've been tempted to but this one, but I don't care for guns with a barrel longer than 3".
They didn't make a lot of them I don't think, but it's well worth looking for, especially at that price.
Another worthy contender is the old High Standard Sentinel. Again a K-frame size, nine shot, hand ejector style revolver, with fixed sights, an aluminum frame, steel cylinder/barrel, etc.. When I lived up in the country, I had one that I carried just about everywhere. In an Uncle Mikes Sidekick holster, it felt like it wasn't there. Plenty accurate enough for pine cones and such.
I don't have any pictures, but google is your friend.
