Hi everybody
Ill cut right to the chase:

I have kind of sensitive hearing and i figure that it would probably be better to either buy some game-ears or a supressor for when i go hunting. I'm not a big fan of electronic gizmos so i reckon ill try a supressor for my .22. But i ran into some problems:

1.) Are they legal (if it varies with location, im in CT so i'm expecting some sort of federal stamp for them?)

2.) What make/model is the best? how much is it?

3.) What kind of gunsmithing would i need to attach threads to the front of a marlin model 980 or would it not be possible? Would it be easier on my marlin model 60?

Any help is appreciated!

1) They are legal in the United States, as for CT, check you local laws or someone will be here shortly to better inform you.

2) I think its silencertest.com or silencertalk.com this is all they talk about.

3) You are probably going to have to have the barrel threaded to accept an adaptor for the suppressor.

Someone with more info will be on the board in #2 or on here.

1) CT does allow silencers.

2) What's the best car? ;) Tac-65 silencers for ~$200 are a fantastic first silencer for .22lr.

3) You would need to have the barrel(s) threaded - contact Mike at Tornado Technologies for further information.
