tube fed is the only way (other than single shot) to reliably feed different 22 rimfire variants. If it is different levels of power/noise you are looking for, super colibri, 22cb, 22lr and 22stinger all will feed in a box mag (same length), and offer 3 levels of power. The only advantage 22shorts have over cbs in a modern 22LR are capacity in tube fed lever or bolt guns. The CZ 452 varmint is about the best 22 you will ever fire, but a marlin 925 remmie model 5, or savage MKII are decent low priced rifles, all are box mag bolt actions. The henry (tube fed lever rifle) is great fun with 22 shorts in the yard, holds around 20, plenty accurate for 50 yard plinking, or for pest control, and you can always use full power 22s.
