I have seen some web search results lately that indicate someone out there has made an AR-15 that uses .22 WMR ammo? Does anyone know which company this would be? As time has passed, .22 WMR has become a favored caliber of mine, and this type of firearm is something that has attracted my interest.

Saw the upper on the BCA website, but I am having trouble tracking down a lower, and mags seem to be MIA as well

I'm a fan of .22 WMR as well, but in a semi-auto application it's iffy due to its feeding and cycling idiosyncracies. Sorry, don't know of any AR-15 type platform that's chambered for it. And probably wouldn't recommend it if I did. Plenty of .22 LR options in that line, but then that cartridge doesn't have the semi-auto problems that the long, skinny and thin-walled .22 WMR cartridge has. I have a couple semi-auto .22 WMR guns that I'll gladly sell if that's the functionality you want.

Bear Creek Arsenal is the only source for a complete .22wmr upper right now, it’s a new item and they supposedly just started shipping so no reviews yet.
Bear Creek is supposedly using a version of the Nordic system. Different from the Ciener/CMMG setup which has a LOT of aftermarket support.
Black Dog has .22wmr mags, best option.
Any standard lower will work. Either a GI single stage trigger or any two stage should work fine.
I see a lot of people say their BCA rimfire uppers needs some break in or a good polishing to run right but their customer service is good. I do own a BCA 6.5 Grendel AR upper and I’ve had no issues, great shooter.

I do own a Kel Tec PMR, a CMR, and a RIA 1911 XTM-22, all .22mag autoloaders and all run fine with CCI maxi mags.
