I was browsing Wallyworld's selection of .223 plinking ammo, and they have .223 Remington 55 grain MC (Metal Case). Maybe I've been out of touch with current nomenclature, but is "Metal Case" the same thing as FMJ?

it would be nice if folks said "jacket" when they mean jacket, and "case" when they mean case.

given that lead, copper, brass and steel are all "Metal", it's not a terribly useful description anyway

I'm familiar with 55 grain and 62 grain .223, but they also carry 45 grain as well. What's the usefulness of this cartridge when 55 grain is so common?
