I've used H335 in the past and going to give TAC a try in short order, new AR needs feed. I've used 40gr V-max in the past, but will have to go for a heavier V-max bullet for the 1/9 twist of my AR, if I go that way. Looking at loading up heavy match bullets right now.

I have had good luck with BL-C(2) in my 10FP and CZ 527 Kevlar. The 10FP has a long throat and I am seating the Sierra 80 gr. Match out to 2.475. I could seat it .010 longer, but I want a snug fit, with the flat side of the bullet base even with the bottom of the neck. The boattail sits in the shoulder area. If I seat it longer the boattail in in the neck area and does not give full support to the bullet. ( Does this make sense to anyone?)
The 10FP shoots the Sierra 65 thru 80 grains well and the CZ shoots the 65 thru 77 grains well. The 80's will not fit in the CZ's mag and I do not want to seat them that deep.
Going to try reloading some of Sierras 77 gr., with the cannelure, for my Bushmaster V-Match using 24.5 grains of BL-C(2).

What is the length of your barrel in your AR 16", 20", or 24"? Also have you chronographed your loads and if so what is their velocity? I have an excellent load that turns out 1.5 or better in every AR with a 20" barrel with a 1 in 9 twist we have tested, but it is with Data Powder 2200 which you can't get anymore . So I am in the same boat as dmrodco and need to find something else for a 55 gr bullet. Here is my current load:
Powder: 23.0 grains of Data Powder 2200
Bullet: 55 gr Nosler BT or Remington/Winchester 55 gr SP
Primmer: CCI-400
Velocity: 2980 fps

I havent crono'd the load yet however the BL(C)2 load gives me dime size patterns at 100yrds out of my mod 70 with no signes of excessive case pressure. Also the 26.5 gr is in the middle of the min and max powder charge. My ar's range in barrel size 2 each @16" 1 @ 20" and 1@ 24"

Until this thread I was leaning toward Accurate 2230 based upon, powder type, burn rate, recorded chamber pressures, and charge weight. However, I see that from your post that you are already experiencing about the same results with BL-C(2) as I am with DP2200 in different length AR barrels which inspires me to evaluate it first. - Thank you.

I have a 16" barrel. I don't own a chronograph so I couldn't tell you the velocity. I decided to try 3 different Speer bullets so I bought some 52gr flat base, PITA to get started in the case BTW, and 55gr FMJ. I loaded them up but haven't taken them out to the range yet, maybe this Sunday. Saturday just got taken up with the Special Olympics...those are always fun to work with so the bullets can wait a day.

I also like 748. I get good results at the range and it meters well.
I don't recall group size offhand as it's been a while since I worked up my load. I have a Savage bolt rifle with a modest Bushnell scope. We plink golf balls on the 200yrd berm, plenty accurate as long as the shooter holds still

Use 4198 with 55gr in my Ruger Mini 14 with good results
If you end up going to a heavier bullet, I HIGHLY recommend H4895. With 69 gr HPBT Nosler or Sierra's, Win/Fed/LC cases, Fed 205M primer, I receive 3000 fps with ANY signs of pressure from my Savage 12FV. Have tried several other powders with the same combo, but only yield in the 27-2800 range.
I use 24.8-25.0 grains of H4895 in this combination.
