.223 VS 5.56 nato for MP15 ??

I saw 2 versions of the Swith and Wesson MP15. One shot .223 and the other 5.56 NATO. My question is what is the better AR for $999?

5.56 beacuse you can always shoot 223 in 5.56 but not the other way around. Well you can but alot of people think it ain't right.

IIRC, ALL M&P15s have 5.56 chambers. And they are chrome lined too!
