You need to figure out what YOU would like, then call Melvin and let him give you a quote, that's the only way you will know what YOU want, will cost.

DM~;

I wasn't lookin' for a hard quote, but I did want to know what ball park I was gonna be in.

DM, how does that rifle shoot? What ammo does it like the best and how does it do with the more common Wolf Match Target or CCI SV?

My WAG would be North of $1,600...just checked, repeaters start at $1,850 + options and by the looks, if it's a shooter, well worth the asking price. Not in my ballpark (sandlot) but very nice DM.

I've been fiddling with a Savage Model 7 over the last month as I enjoy working on old .22s almost as much as shooting them. Can't wait to finish up the old Westernfield (Mossberg) and get it out and I've got a 452 Trainer inbound that I think I'll save till Spring. I'll just occupy myself with the Savages, Rugers, Beretta, Rossi or Marlin in the meantime.

The lack of ammo selection available locally has been frustrating, especially knowing how well this one shoots with even modestly priced ammo but I've still got a healthy selection put back. 3 bricks as a stash? I've gone through 8 bricks this year. Had so much fun, I put my Model 70 project on the shelf and nearly forgot about it. Addiction? Yeah maybe! Sure I like my centerfires, both rifles and handguns but the rimfires really can be fun.

Good question and one i can't give a good answer to.

I haven't shot it on paper past 25 yards, and i haven't shot any good quality ammo in it. I do have a few boxes of the "good" stuff, but i haven't got to it.....yet!

The "old" bulk ammo i've been shooting, (from my old ammo stash) shoots about 1/4" at 25yards...

DM~;

So what kinda ball park are we in with that ULA rimfire? Major league, Legion ball, or sand lot? Huh, I know we aren't in sandlot with that thing.

Major League. Custom rifle. Custom price.

Fella's;

Look, guys, I'm just finishing my second custom gun now. Creating your very own left hand bolt 6.5X55mm Swedish Mauser is about the same price as either buying a Blaser or a Mauser G3. Creating your very own left hand CZ fullstock (Mannlicher) isn't a two-bit operation either. Both with full custom stocks, not somebody's micro-drop-wonder-fit.

All I was lookin' for was something like: Around $2,000 - 2,500.00 depending on your options. Or $2,500 - 3,000.00. Whatever it was. But since an answer can't be produced to a simple question - nevermind. There's other projects.

Shoot, my wife's Myers custom action cost more.... :p

How cool is dual firing pins tho?

Oh and the 40X wasn't cheap either. Nor was the Kimber after we got all the parts on it.

How do they shoot? Well this is Eley Match from the 40X, 50-yards, 5-consecutive shots:

Putting a dime next to that group wouldn't do it justice. :)
