I like the Ruger 22/45 target with the 4” barrel that I have. But, as others have said, it doesn’t have a match trigger. No experience with the Buckmark (but everyone seems to like them) or the Walther. The M&P is OK but the sights are not as precise as the Ruger. I have not tried the new Compact M&P.
There seems to be some love for the Ruger SR22 on this thread. I don’t like it because of the counterintuitive safety (frame mounted, up to fire, down for safe), and the DA/SA transition that results in the first round not impacting in the same place as others. It also seems to prefer high velocity ammo. I do like the firing pin block safety and the light weight. For an only gun for a person with small hands or a kit gun, it is OK. It does not appear to meet the OP's criteria for consistency in function.
