You need to start a business with that stuff bud!

ive done a little research on how to start a business on manufacturing dress up kits and its pretty tough because i would have to pay a yearly fee of $2500 to the Department of Defense to be a US manufacturer regardless if i make a profit or not. plus the business fees of $1000+ like LLC, etc. then overhead costs with shipping, packaging, tooling, outsourcing that requires 500 pieces minimum paid up front, etc

at the moment, im going to have to pass on making this a business because i dont have the time nor capital to do it.

im buying a welding machine and im just going to make "one-offs" for myself.

it would be better if you guys just bought a used stock to your liking, buy a dremel and start cutting away and being creative. then an addiction will kick in after you finish your 1st custom piece for your .22

www.customrifles.info is a site i found that's dedicated to custom black rifle stocks for .22's. its not your typical aftermarket Boyd, Tapco, Archangel kits. that site focuses on members using gutted airsoft shells. you wont see too many wood sporting stocks on that site.

Those are pretty cool! I think the pig is my favorite.

If I had that M82, I'd pull it out at the range on the far right bench, warn people it will be loud, and then fire off a round. It would be funny once.

Ruger SR-22

Hey,

Are there any kits available like these for the Ruger SR-22?

I especially love the HK - SL8 kit.

Thanks man - great collection.

the itar fee is only if you want to import/export or deal with the dept of defence

This is in response to your email to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). You wanted to know as a manufacturer who does not import or export or deal with the government have to register under ITAR.

In order to engage in the business of exporting, manufacturing, or brokering items on the USMIL you must be registered with the Department of State which administers the export and manufacturing provisions of the AECA. Generally, persons holding a manufacturer’s FFL (Types 06, 07, and 10) must register as a manufacturer with the Department of State unless specifically exempted by an International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR). For further information, you should contact: Department of State Office of Defense Trade Controls PM/DDTC 2401 E Street, NW Suite 1200 SA-I Washington, DC 20522-0112, (202) 663-2980 www.pmdtc.org

Maybe my favorite thread of the year! Airsoft or not, you sir are a genius!

Now get teamed up with a plastic molding company and start making your own, to sell. That Chey-Tac looks awesome!

Ruger SR-22

Hey Defcon,

Will any of yoru kits work for the newer Ruger SR-22?

Thanks!

No M41A pulse rifle???

You've gotta do one of those. It's truly obligatory for someone like yourself.

Seriously, though, that's pretty cool. If I were to do it, I'd used a stripped AR instead of a .22, but you'll definitely save on ammo this way.

theres a youtube vid out there on a .22 version of the M41A pulse rifle

its coming out here to the US soon so im waiting for a broken/used version so i dont have to pay full retail

it looks a like a 10/22 will not fit in this because the receiver looks too narrow. probably a Marlin 795 would fit. we'll see

ill be on the look out for this

This is just a place holder. Will be making the purchase tomorrow

This just came out and its a $23 springer. I'm assuming its cheap plastic but there's another guy that dropped in his .22LR inside and said that its good sturdy plastic.

I'm taking my chances since its only $23. Not sure which .22 will go inside yet until I gut it out. 10/22 or a Marlin 795 will go in.

Will hopefully come in this week after I make the purchase. Expect updated pictures before the weekend

That stuff is awesome!

Man I love that 795 UMP... Enough to maybe ask how much you'd want for it? lol

thanks

hehe sorry none of them are for sale.

if you want to DIY mod, you can buy the stock for $100 online. get a Marlin 795 and a dremel and cut until it fits

I might just do that... do you know what brand the UMP is? And did it take much fitting for the Marlin? I don't really want to hack up mine, and end up with a useless Marlin AND a useless airsoft gun haha

its double eagle. there's a G&G brand but its like over $200. i assume it might be better quality but this double eagle is just fine.

you just need to dremel out the magwell and the upper receiver of the UMP. the marlin will slide into the upper receiver on the backside. i have youtube vids explaining what i did with the UMP.

what brand do you have?
it took me longer just to figure everything out since this was my first conversion with UMP.

now it takes about a few minutes to plan my cuts and to create brackets.

With the tactical .22's all the rage for training, practice and cheap shooting, people all over would love to see what you do with rifles and airsoft. It is really cool the effort and time you take to do these. My hat is off to you, that Cheytac is awesome... as a matter of fact all of them are.

Well looks like I've got a project coming up! This is seriously very impressive stuff.
