I picked up some Georgia Arms 200g RNFP hard cast bullets I have been loading them with 10.5g of Unique and I am happy with the results. But I have some 2400 laying around and thought about loading them with it. I can't find a whole lotta data on the 200g loads with the 2400. All I have seen is 24g this seems high to me. Is this a safe load?

Thanks,

Rick

Sorry I had searched first and when I couldn't find anything my Old Alzheimer's infected brain had a fart. It is for a 44 Magnum.

24.0 Seems a little high to me.

Lyman #49 shows a 210 Linotype cast bullet

2400 powder:
19.8 Start = 1,191 FPS - 31,600 CUP.
22.0 MAX = 1,348 FPS - 37,100 CUP.

Unique powder:
10.0 Starting load = 930 FPS - 21,000 CUP.
13.2 MAX = 1,221 FPS - 36,000 CUP.

Thats what I thought too. I am loading as stated above 10.5 of Unique with these bullets and getting just over 1200 FPS. I am shooting them out of a Taurus 44SSG with a 6.5' ported barrel.
