You guys are just a bunch of ENABLERS!!
This thread has me wanting a 257 Weatherby in a sweet Deluxe wood stock. A 6.5-300 Weatherby in a good synthetic stock. And now a 375 Ruger. Should I rebarrel my Mark V ultra lightweight 7mm to 375 Ruger???
I mean realistically, with a .25 and .26 caliber in the stable, the .28 isn't really necessary, and the .375 will take care of it for ya.....BUTTTTTTTTTTTT! Then you lose all the fun beautiful gorgeous awesomeness of the .28, if you do swap to .375 then you simply MUST grab a .280ai!!!

Yeah, kinda......this is the most expensive place I've ever hung out.....

My 375 Ruger was actually built from my 7mm Remington magnum. The one thing that MIGHT need checking before doing the conversion is making sure your gun will feed the slightly wider cases. If not then there will be some feed rail modifications necessary. I actually went to ultra mag, magazines on my build but my stock 7mm box WOULD have fed the .375s.

Thanks for the advice. The 7mm Rem Mag has a little life left in her. I would like to have one bigger bore rifle while I'm still on this side of the grass.
The the cartridges that interest me to most are 8mm Rem Mag, 416 Rem Mag, 458 Win Mag, and 375 Ruger/375 H&H. None of them are must haves, but all would fill that gap of something unique and useful.
The 7mm barrel replacement may be a better candidate for something that will be used a lot more.
Thank you again for the advice.
