Just had my 25 year Anniversary at my job. Got in as a apprentice right out of high school been with same place since then.

Was given a booklet of things to pick through as a Anniversary gift from the company...Nothing tickled my fancy so I picked a Bose soundbar and turned around and sold it for retail. I was able to turn that into something I really wanted. Another lever action. :)

I picked up a New Rossi 20" stainless carbine in 44 mag. I already have a blued version in 357 mag all slicked up and liked it.

Anyhow. First trip out was fun. Had to fiddle with rear site a bit but other than that it ran great. Pile of brass shows how much fun I had. For my 20th anniversary I picked out the wife a pricey designer purse from the booklet.... this time around I got what I wanted ;) paid little less than $530 for the rifle and had money left over from the soundbar to buy dies, a 6 cavity mold and bullet sizer. I think it was a ok 25th anniversary 20191214_151846.jpg gift to myself.

Congrats. I would be happy with picking a lever gun out of a booklet. If some job ever offered such a booklet. The soundbar ain’t to bad either. Like you I would have gladly traded towards the LA .44 mag. It’s amazing that people still can find a company and stick with it, most people go through a dozen jobs in their careers. Good stuff.

A very nice lever gun, Analog kid!

When my 20th work anniversary came up in 2015, my office catered in some BBQ and gave me a plaque. I've got 5 1/2 years left to reach 30 years and the usual policy for that anniversary is a company lunch at a local Tex-Mex joint and another plaque.

A lever gun sure beats the heck out of a plate of sliced beef or enchiladas and a plaque. :D
