Here's what I have:
Remington and Federal brass
federal large rifle primers
H4831SC powder

bullets:
Sierra 130gr spitzer flat base
Speer 130gr boat tail
remington 130 core-lokt ptd. soft pt

I have been using the 130g hornaday spire with 57G of 4831sc and the gun is dead nuts at 100 and 200 yards. Killed a deer and antelope last year with this load and it is DEADLY. The groups were not as good as I hoped at 300yds off the stand. I'm trying to improve my groupings at 300... I ran out of those bullets and have the above bullets laying around. I want to try some new loads this weekend.

I was thinking of using 57-59.5 (max) grains of 4831SC with these bullets. Any recommendations?

don't forget to check COL at the ogive ! years back I tryed some nos 140gr in my 270win. that I had been shooting sierra's in and dam near blew it up!!
I was loading Sierra 140gr SPBT's with IMR 4831 with CCI primers , the only thing I changed was the bullet , and at the same COL (base to tip) as it turned out the Nosler Ballistic Tips had the Ogive farther out, giveing my no bullet jump, and I mean right at "0" they feed in just fine and came out just find (no rifle marks at all) but the first shot blew out the primer and blew in the pin on my bolt face !
so lesson learned :banghead:, and passed along :)
