Those are both perfectly suitable powders in 270 Win. I have no experience with 4451 and use IMR4831 exclusively in 270 Win but have used IMR4350 in a number of applications and have found it more temp stable at 30F - 90F than we are lead to believe. At temp extremes either end of that, it may very well be a consideration.
IMR-4350 has been my go to powder for 42 years, but I was pushing 130 gr in 270 and 165gr in 30-06. I have yet to own a gun that liked Varget. R-22 should work if you can find it.
IMR4350 has been good for me too. But so has both 4831’s and H414. The 4451 is an attempt to produce a newer and cheaper (environment friendly manufacturing) version of 4350. It should work well. It’s too new for widespread knowledge/experience.
Fastest velocities I’ve recorded have been with MagPro. 3,200 with a 130gr.
