Im a big believer in the right to self-preservation, That means I believe humans have every right to fight back when attacked. This right was not given to me by the 2nd amendment of the constitution, It was given to me by God,nature, and by the blood of american, french, and spanish men who fought to free this country from a british monarchy over 200 years ago,the second amendment does NOT give you the right to bear arms, It only recognizes that right, You already had that right before the constitution, not because your american but because your a human being .That being said, The gun is currently the best tool for that job right now (until lightsabers come) however that does not take away from the fact that Knives and other weapons are restricted in some ways more than firearms. Most of you believe in the exact wording of the 2A. It says the people have a right to bear arms. Hmmm, bear arms? That as we all know means the right to carry or have about on your person, well what about the arms part? Arm as defined by several dictionaries as a weapon or the making of a weapon(arming). Therefore the 2 amendment applies to knives,Tomahwaks,or any other Arm we so choose.
In my own homestate of Texas we regulate bowie knives. Really? The knife of one of TX's heroes? More to the point, Ive given you my belief which spands beyond just the second amendment. Do you believe we have guns cause of the constitution , or do you believe we already had those rights and that the constitution merely acknowledges those rights?

Of course we had those rights before the Constitution. But most governments on earth throughout human history have not recognized that fact. And that's the crux. Having all the rights in the world mean nothing if you are unable to assert them. The Constitution doesn't guarantee our right to keep and bear arms...we do. Until we don't.

Yet some people vehemently say that the constitution gave them those rights, People to wake up and stop pushing for just gun laws to relax and start focusing on all arms that people want to purchase.
