I found a 2x - 30mm red dot scope by TruGlo. Does anyone have one or know much about this magnified red dot. Thinking about purchasing it and mounting it to a Buckmark.

I got one in July from Natchez. I put it on a 6" GP100. The 2x lens does distort a little bit and the unit is larger than it looks in the pictures. It was easy to zero and held its zero......for as long as it went. At about 400 rounds of shooting .38, I saw a vertical line through the lenses. I thought it was something on the front lens so I wiped it off. The line was still there. The dot was fine so I took the shot. Then I was able to see that the "line" was a crack in the lens that magnifys. I had a split image that looked to be different elevations through the lens.

Natchez says deal through the manufacturer, TRU GLO says deal with the retailer. I called TRU GLO and they said they would be happy to replace it and gave me an RMA number. I sent it back Priority Mail on Sept.8. I haven't heard back from them yet and was going to call this week to find out the status.

I've got an UltraDot back on the GP100 that has held up for 4 years now. I'm going to put the 2x one on a .22 carbine when I get it back.

I just got back from Sportman's Warehouse and bought this red dot scope.

I think it will be perfect for my Buckmark. I would like to get a Tactical Soultions 7 or 10 inch barrel. Do you know much about those?

I'm trying to build an extremely accurate target 22 for no more than 30 yards.
Any suggestions would be great.

The replacement optic came in the mail today. TRU GLO does indeed stand behind their product.

Glad to hear Truglo stands behind this optic.

I bought one when it first came out, and it sucked. Did not hold aim or focus.

I put it in the safe and figured $80 lesson learned, will sell it cheap or throw it away later.

I moved it the other day and heard a "clink."

Hmmm? Turns out the front lens is loose. On inspection, it looks like a metal ring that holds the lens in is missing. In any event, the front lens moves all over the place.

I called Truglo on Wednesday to get a RMA. Left a message, and I have yet to hear from them (two days ago). I'll call again next week.

Even if they back it up, the warranty says I have to pay to ship this piece of junk to them and pay another $12 for their handling and return shipping.

If they don't waive that fee, it will be the last Truglo item I ever buy. If they do, and it works out well, they may see my business again.

I have had products go bad before, and when the manufacturer (e.g., Ruger) stood tall and fixed it 100% w/o hassle they earned my loyalty.

I'll report back on what happens with Truglo.
