Just bought a truglo 30mm 4 reticle/red + green red dot from midway. Going to be mounting it on my personally customized marlin .45-70. I don't have the money right now to buy anything more expensive, and i'mg oing to be getting back up iron sights in case of sight failure. My main uses for my rifle will this scope will probably be big game hunting and dangerous game hunting such as bear/moose etc. From what truglo says its pretty solid, nitrogen purged, rated to 1000g recoil and water proof... comes with clear lens caps. for $140 can't beat it. Don't have the money right now for anything in the $500 plus range, nor do I want such ane xpensive red dot on a big bore lever gun. They were designed for turkey hunters and slug gunners in mind so i'm sure it must be pretty capable of handling big recoil. Just wondering what peoples experiences are with it

For $140 you could have done better i.e. Bushnell Trophy MP or a Vortex.

Despite Truglo's claim, based on my experience it isn't going to hold up to a 45-70 and granted it is cheap, but I have never seen a sight that had parallax that bad.
