cleetus I was mistaken - Natchez doesn't have 10% off right now, it is $10 off of $100 (until Saturday night I believe). So the price would be about $80 after rebate.
The TR1s are pretty nice for the money. I bought 1, then another, then another, then a couple more, then one more. I have 6 of them now. I have three 3 x 9 and three 1.5 x 6 models. They are really nice for the price. I have not found any kind of issues with them. The clicks on the adjusters are very positive, and the magnification ring and reticle focus ring have an appropriate amount of resistance yet turn smoothly. All the reticle wires are clean and well defined. The glass quality seems to me to be on par with scopes in the MRSP price range.
I did see them marked at MSRP in a local mega sporting good store for some time, but they weren't selling at $300. For $300 I would pass them up for a Leupold VX2 too. So the store eventually closed them out for 1/2 price - $150. I think this was at least a year ago. That is how I got turned on to them. After trying the first one I had the wife go pick me up one more. Then I bought a third. At $150 I thought I was getting a real deal. Obviously $80 is even quite a bit better.
I really like the 1.5 x 6 model. Those 3 I bought recently from Natchez. Seems like the value deal going right now.
BTW, I don't know if you can get the rebate on more than one scope purchase.
